How to connect your Custom Counter to Eventbrite via Zapier

If you need to create an integration between Zapier and Eventbrite for your Smiirl Custom Counter, this article is for you :)

1. To start, please open the Zapier website. Login in using your preferred method, or click ‘Sign up’ if you do not have an account yet.

2. Once you’re logged in, please click ‘Create’ → Zaps

3. Then, click on ‘Trigger’ and add ‘Eventbrite’

4. Once you’ve selected Eventbrite as a trigger app, please proceed to choose trigger event. For example, ‘New Attendee Check-in’, if you want your Counter to react to the number of people present in real time.

5. Then, please log into your Eventbrite account by clicking ‘Sing in’.
6. Once you are signed in, you can proceed to configure the trigger by selecting your organization, event status, and event. In the Organization section, it will be your profile. The event status can be set to ‘Live’, and the event should be selected from the drop-down menu of the events you’ve created in your Eventbrite account. After everything is selected, you can click ‘Continue’.

7. On the next step, please proceed to click ‘Test trigger’.

8. The records from your connected Eventbrite account will load and display as options. Please select one and click ‘Continue with selected record’.

9. The next step is to select the Action, which determines how the Counter will react to the trigger you have configured so far. In this step, please select ‘Smiirl’.

10. After Smiirl is selected, please proceed to choose an action event. Several options are proposed here, such as ‘Increment Value (+1)’, ‘Decrement Value (-1)’, ‘Set Value’, ‘Add Value’ and ‘Reset to 0’. For this example, let’s choose ‘Increment Value (+1)’.

11. The next step is to connect to your Smiirl account. Please use the email that your Custom Counter is connected to.
12. Then, please proceed to select the Counter from the drop-down menu. Please note that, to be displayed in Zapier, your Custom Counter need to be set to the ‘Push number’ option on my.smiirl.com. After the Counter is selected, please click ‘Continue’.

13. Once your Counter is selected, please click ‘Continue’ and then ‘Test Step’.

14. If the test was successful and the Counter has updated the displayed value, you can proceed by clicking ‘Publish’. And that’s it!

Your Zap is now on!
