How to connect your Custom Counter to Google Calendar via Zapier

Hi there!

If you need to create an integration between Zapier and Google Calendar for your Smiirl Counter, this article is for you :)

  1. To start with, please open the Zapier website. Log in using the most convenient method or click ‘Sign up’ if you do not have an account yet.

  1. Once logged in, please click ‘Create’ → Zaps

  1. Then, click on ‘Trigger’ and add ‘Google Calendar’

  1. Once you have selected Google Calendar as a trigger, please proceed to select the event that you want to define the trigger. For example, ‘New Event’ - which will update the number that the Counter displays every time when a new event is added to the linked calendar.

  1. After this, please connect your Google Calendar account if you have not done it previously.
  2. Once the account is connected, please select the profile or calendar that you want to be associated with the Counter.
  3. The next step, once the event and the trigger details are selected, is to proceed to Test it. In order to do so, please click ‘Test Trigger’.

  1. To perform the test and to proceed further, you will need to select the Action. In this step, please select ‘Smiirl’.

  1. Please proceed to select the event, for example, ‘Add value’. In this case, the zap will add the value to the number displayed on the Counter. Then you can click ‘Continue’.

  1. The next step is to connect your Smiirl account if you have not done so already. Then you can proceed by selecting the Counter and which value to add to the displayed number. Please note that to be visible in the list, your Custom Counter should be set to a Push number option.

  1. If all the selected data is correct, you can click ‘Test step’.

  1. If the displayed results meet your expectations, you can click ‘Publish’. And that’s all!
