How to Integrate Stripe with Zapier for your Custom Counter

If you need to create an integration between Zapier and Stripe for your Smiirl Custom Counter, this article is for you :)

1. To start, please open the Zapier website. Log in using the most preferred method or click ‘Sign up’ if you do not have an account yet.

2. Once logged in, please click ‘Create’ → Zaps

3. Then, click on ‘Trigger’ and add ‘Stripe’

   

4. Once the correct Stripe trigger is selected, you can proceed to select the parameters of the trigger, such as Trigger event (what the Counter should react to) and Stripe account.

For Trigger event, you are given a wide choice of options. For example, let’s choose “New Payment”, the Counter will display the number of sales in real-time, updating every time a new payment is made to your connected Stripe account.

5. Once the trigger event is selected, please proceed to sign in to your Stripe account.

Once your account is connected, you can click ‘Continue’.

6. The next step is to test the trigger that you’ve configured. Please click ‘Test trigger’.

To perform a trigger, please select the necessary records that will automatically appear from your connected Stripe account. Once you’ve selected the payment for testing the trigger, click ‘Continue with selected record’.

In this step, it will ask you to select an action. In this case, Smiirl.

7. A pop-up window will appear. Please search for ‘Smiirl”.

8. For Smiirl, you have a few options: Add Value, Decrement Value, Increment Value, Reset to 0 and Set Value. For this example, for Action event, let’s take ‘Increment Value (+1)’.

Increment value (+1) - increment current number displayed on the Counter by 1.

If your Smiirl account is already connected, you can click ‘Continue’, otherwise, please log into your Smiirl account on this step.

9. The next step is to connect the Counter that will react to your pre-selected Trigger.Please note that to be visible in Zapier, your Custom Counter should be set to Push number into my.smiirl.com.

Once the appropriate Counter is selected, please click ‘Continue’.

10. The next step is to test the trigger combined with the action. You can either click ‘Skip Test’ or ‘Test step’. We will continue with ‘Test step’.

11. If everything is working as expected and the number increased during the test, you can click ‘Publish’, and you’re all set!

Once your Zap is published, you will see the window asking if you want to transfer existing data or just return to your Zaps. You can transfer your data and ensure that the amount displayed on the Counter is up to date. Your Zap is now active!
